Fulbright-Hays Program
The winter program in Bolivia offers an immersive learning experience that combines cultural, educational, and adventure activities.
Coordinated by the Universidad Católica Boliviana "San Pablo" and the University of Mississippi, this program is designed for students interested in exploring Bolivia's rich cultural and natural heritage while learning about politics, health, and social movements in the Andes.

University Experience
Virtual Class
Complementing classroom learning, students will participate in visits to some of Bolivia’s most iconic destinations, such as the Uyuni Salt Flats, Madidi National Park, the city of Potosí, and Lake Titicaca. These on-site experiences, organized in collaboration with the Catholic University of Bolivia, La Paz campus, will not only allow students to appreciate the country’s rich natural and cultural heritage but also offer them the opportunity to apply their knowledge in a practical setting. Through specialized workshops at each location, students will experience Bolivian reality firsthand, blending adventure with academic learning. This hands-on approach will foster a deeper, more immersive understanding of Bolivia’s social, political, and cultural dynamics.
In Room Class
This interdisciplinary program, developed in collaboration with the Catholic University, La Paz campus, offers University of Mississippi students the opportunity to deepen their academic knowledge through specialized classes. In these sessions, led by expert instructors, key topics such as health, politics, and community research will be addressed. Students will develop a solid theoretical foundation covering essential aspects of Andean and Amazonian cultures, as well as Bolivian society as a whole. These classes provide the intellectual tools necessary for students to critically and analytically understand the challenges and realities of the country.
